Job Title: 1:1 TEACHING ASSISTANT GRADE 2 PLUS SEN ALLOWANCE
Salary: £19,317 - £19,606
Hours: 30 hours 8.30am to 3pm Monday to Friday (30 minute lunch break)
Location: Harvington C of E First & Nursery, Village Street, Harvington, Evesham WR11 8NQ

Fixed term: Linked to specific children
 

We have an opportunity for a confident, self-motivated, enthusiastic teaching assistant to support two children within the school setting.

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Have an understanding of safeguarding practices and procedures, ensuring the welfare of the children
  • Support the Christian ethos of our school
  • Demonstrate a good level of English and Maths, with GCSE qualification graded A-C, or equivalent
  • Confidently follow planning and adapt, where necessary, to support children’s individual needs.
  • Have some experience in delivering intervention programmes for groups and individuals
  • Be a team player, who is committed to their own professional development

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting two children within the classroom to access the curriculum
  • Carrying out specific interventions linked to EHCP targets 
  • Motivating and encouraging the children to thrive in and around school

Disclosure Barring Service (DBS)
This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed. This will include details of cautions, reprimands, or final warnings, as well as convictions. The County Council has a commitment to safeguarding service users in our care.
