This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and successful Social Work Area Team in Bromsgrove.
The Bromsgrove Area Team are a diverse team from a range of backgrounds and experiences. The team is supportive and fun. We have a real learning culture and we actively encourage initiative and creativity.
We are looking for a qualified Social Worker for the Bromsgrove Area Social Work (adults) Team. This team covers the Bromsgrove area, Rubery, Wythall, Hagley and the Bromsgrove villages.
Ideally you will have experience working with older adults adults and/or adults with physical disabilities.
You will be carrying out assessments, reviews and safeguarding enquiries under the Care Act.
You will be working in partnership with health professionals including District Nurses, GPs and CHC Nurses. You will also be working in partnership with housing, police, safeguarding professionals and local community/faith groups.
You will be working on duty where you will follow up duty enquires. This is managed as part of a team approach.
You will have monthly supervision with your line manager . We also offer monthly reflective sessions where there is an opportunity to improve practice, discuss areas of interest and to learn from your peers. There is fortnightly huddles were the team support each other in discussing cases and coming up with solutions.
