Job Title: Counter Fraud Officer
Salary: £37,036 - £39,513 per annum 
35 Hours per Week
Location: Wildwood, Wildwood Drive, Worcester, WR5 2QT and Home Working

Team: Internal Audit (Chief Executive's Unit)
Permanent Contract

This is a newly created role to achieve a greater and more proactive approach to counter fraud measures in the Council. The role will be instrumental in the delivery of the counter fraud plan, ensure that counter fraud risk mitigation is in place and counter fraud measures are strong and continuously developed throughout the Council.

 There will be an expectation that you will identify opportunities to enhance the counter fraud measures throughout the Council.  You will be expected to work with stakeholders to design and implement pragmatic solutions to reduce the potential for fraud. You will be encouraged to explore innovative solutions to counter fraud issues and get involved in projects to ensure counter fraud measures are designed in from an early stage.  

You will be part of the internal audit service. The successful candidate will report to the Audit and Compliance Manager with an expectation that you will take responsibility for strategic development, training to promote an anti-fraud culture and awareness, investigation, promote prevent and deter methodologies and use detection methods. The role will provide the right candidate with a real opportunity to develop yourself and career.
