Vehicle Pickup points are throughout Worcestershire including Kidderminster, Worcester, Evesham, Bromsgrove, and Redditch.

Approachable, friendly, and always there with a smile? Can you see yourself transporting children and adults to our schools and day centres?

You are required to develop and maintain good communication with the Passenger Assistant, passengers, and all members of the public.
You will work as part of a team with the Passenger Assistant, who attends to individual’s needs whilst traveling. 
You’ll assist with moving passengers, including using a tail lift, and wheelchair securing as required. 
You’ll keep the vehicle in good working order by carrying out basic administration, keeping the vehicle clean, and of course topping it up with fuel.
You will always carry out Safety checks on the vehicle before collection and drive safely. 
The role involves driving a vehicle on a split shift to safely transport individuals to their destination which may include in the morning and the afternoon.

*Most drivers will require a category D1 license, but on occasion will need a PSV license, and sometimes a category C license and no more than 6 penalty points, this will be discussed with the recruitment manager

As a driver, you will be required to have:
  • Training as provided.
  • Be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Demonstrated evidence of experience driving appropriate vehicles.
  • Due to the nature of the work a criminal record check via the DBS disclosure service will also be required. 
  • Candidates are required to successfully complete a County Council driving assessment before an interview.
