We are looking for two passionate and motivated Early Careers Specialists to join Careers Worcestershire’s Early Careers Hub, part of Worcestershire County Council’s Skills & Employability service.
These exciting new roles will play a vital part in delivering Worcestershire’s Early Careers programme, working with schools, colleges, and employers to ensure every young person has access to high-quality careers education and experiences.
As an Early Careers Specialist, you’ll:
- Build strong relationships with school and college leaders, providing expert advice on careers education and work experience opportunities.
- Drive improvements in careers provision by supporting schools to achieve the Gatsby Benchmarks and national careers standards.
- Connect young people with meaningful encounters with employers, supporting their progression into further education, apprenticeships, and employment.
- Shape systemic change across education and business networks, influencing strategy and ensuring young people’s needs are met.
- Promote best practice, deliver training, and support careers leaders to embed long-lasting improvements.
We have two specialist roles available:
- Mainstream Schools Specialist – supporting careers development across Worcestershire’s mainstream secondary schools and colleges.
- SEND Schools Specialist – working with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) schools, helping to break down barriers and create inclusive pathways to future education and employment.
We are seeking candidates who:
- Have significant experience in education, careers, or employer engagement.
- Can demonstrate strong influencing and networking skills with senior leaders.
- Are passionate about making a difference for young people’s futures.
- Have the ability to use data and insights to drive improvement and measure impact.
