Salary: £31,563 - £33,330 per annum

The Role: 

Are you looking for ways to use your psychological skills and experience? Are you someone who can build a relationship during times of adversity? Do you want to make real changes to the lives of children, young people and their families?

Supporting Families First (S.F.F) is an innovative and multi-disciplinary team led by an experienced management team in order to deliver the optimum services to children and families in Worcestershire. Over the next 6 – 12 months within the Family Front Door the implementation of the Social Work reforms will commence where the multi-disciplinary approach will be expanded.

This is a great time to join a team as we prepare this transition, it will afford you the opportunity to assimilate into the service using the preferred Signs of Safety practice model, to find out what works well within the family using existing strengths to help families to find their own solutions.

Emotional Health & Well-Being workers are supported and supervised by the Clinical Lead. You will also have the opportunity to participate in reflective group supervisions to support you in the role.

Your role is to offer direct support to young people or adults using evidence-based skills such as CBT, Counselling, motivational interviewing, or solution focused therapy with the aim of enhancing an individual’s emotional health and wellbeing. You will be involved in developing packages of emotional support for families, working with your multi - disciplinary colleagues to provide a whole family approach

You will complete triage assessments upon requests for emotional health and wellbeing support, and within supervision develop an outcome focused plan of intervention.

This role is best suited to a person who has experience of using psychological techniques to support individuals/groups but is looking for an opportunity to further develop their career, skills and understanding.
