9-13 in the heart of Bromsgrove. We are committed to providing the highest quality of education that enables pupils to excel academically, through the delivery of strong specialist teaching. We pride ourselves on success in developing pupils’ character, so they become socially and emotionally aware, confident young people.
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated English Teacher who is passionate about igniting curiosity and fostering a love for English. As an English Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping students’ understanding of the world through engaging, high-quality lessons that bring reading, writing and oracy to life.
We believe that English is more than just a subject—it provides the foundational knowledge for life. Enabling pupils to engage with texts, read with confidence and communicate effectively through written and spoken word is central to their learning success. We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who can create a stimulating learning environment and instil a passion.
You will help to develop and deliver an innovative and progressive curriculum which is supported by a programme of extracurricular and enrichment activities, that ensures that all students—regardless of background or ability—are inspired to achieve their full potential. You will work positively and collaboratively within the department and collectively develop and improve all aspects of teaching and learning in this area.
We are looking for an inspirational candidate who has had experience working in KS2 and/or KS3. The ideal candidate will be someone who sets high expectations for children, makes learning engaging and enjoyable, ensures that every child is valued and is supported to take opportunities to reach their potential. This is a fantastic opportunity, and the post would be suitable for early career teachers, who would be able to benefit from our successful and supportive ECT Induction Programme.
You will have:
- Energy, enthusiasm, creativity and talent.
- Motivation and high expectations for achievement.
- A desire to make a positive difference to the lives of the pupils, form strong relationships and ensure that potential is realised.
- Commitment to working as part of a team and in partnership with parents.
In return we can offer you:
- A modern environment for teaching and learning.
- A positive, welcoming and supportive community of ambitious and dedicated staff, children, parents and governors, where respect and wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.
- The opportunity to teach alongside talented teachers delivering lessons to consistently high standards.
- Well behaved, friendly pupils who are eager to learn.
- Excellent induction and a strong commitment to your career and professional development.
- An opportunity to work in a school that is part of a secure pyramid of schools, working exceptionally closely with feeder first schools and high schools and the Spire Trust Learning Partnership.
CV’s will not be accepted. Informal visits to the school are both welcomed and encouraged, and prospective applicants should contact the Business Manager by email or telephone to arrange a suitable time for a visit.
