About the Role
As HR Systems Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing and developing our core HR platforms, with iTrent being the main system. You’ll lead a dedicated team, ensuring our systems are efficient, secure, and aligned with our strategic goals.
You’ll work closely with internal departments, IT & Digital, and external providers to drive system enhancements, support workforce planning, and ensure business continuity. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of HR technology in a large, complex organisation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and maintaining key HR systems to ensure optimal performance and integration.
- Leading system upgrades, enhancements, and structural changes across the Council and maintained schools.
- Overseeing system governance, compliance, and contract management.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to improve processes and resolve complex system issues.
- Developing data dashboards and ensuring data integrity and security.
- Driving innovation and continuous improvement in HR technology.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Substantial experience managing HR systems which includes iTrent in a local authority or similar environment.
- Proven leadership skills and experience managing a small team.
- Strong knowledge of system governance, compliance, and business continuity.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- A Level 7 qualification in HR or IT (or equivalent experience) and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
