Job Introduction

Job Title: Library Customer Advisor (The Hive - 2 positions)
Salary: £24,790 - £25,183 per annum (based on 37 hours, pro rata for part-time)
18.5 hours per week, 19.5 hours per week
Location: The Hive

Team: Libraries
Permanent Contract

The Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of the first integrated public and University Library in the UK.

The Library Customer Advisor role is diverse, exciting and no two days are the same. You will help our customers access a wide range of resources and services. A typical day could see you provide digital one to one support, lead events and activities such as a song or storytelling session for children or an online activity group for adults. Expect to learn something new every day in a fast-paced customer focused environment.

You will need to be enthusiastic, flexible and energetic, with excellent customer service skills. A will to find an answer to whatever question is asked is key.

You will have a strong background in customer service; possibly in retail, hospitality, community, education, early years or library work - but whatever your experience, your understanding of the customer will be crucial. If you enjoy working with people, thrive on providing excellent customer service and you would like to be part of an innovative and enthusiastic team, then we would like to hear from you.

Working hours are based on a 2 week rota and include some weekend working and some evening (until 10pm) working.
