The Role
Worcestershire Libraries are recruiting!
Our libraries team are looking for two individuals to fill posts within Bromsgrove & Droitwich Spa Libraries. The roles are diverse, exciting and no two days are the same. The successful candidates will help our customers access a wide range of resources and services. A typical day could see you provide digital one-to-one support, lead events and activities such as a song or storytelling session for children and carry out routine library tasks. Expect to learn something new everyday in a fast-paced customer focused environment.
The successful candidates will need to be enthusiastic, flexible and energetic, with excellent customer service skills. A will to find an answer to whatever question is asked is key. You may have a background in retail, community, education, early years or library work - but whatever your experience, your understanding of the customer will be crucial. If you enjoy working with people, thrive on providing excellent customer service, and you would like to be part of an innovative and enthusiastic team, then we would like to hear from you!
Working hours are based on a rota and include Saturdays. Our Droitwich Spa post is for 25.5 hours and our Bromsgrove post is for 23.5 hours. While the roles will be primarily based at the locations above, there is an expectation that you would work where needed at any library in the cluster when required. This cluster includes Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Rubery, Catshill or Hagley.
