Salary: £32,654 - £40,476 per annum ** plus Market Forces Supplement £4000 per annum
37 Hours per Week
Location: Redditch/Bromsgrove/Kidderminster
Team: Initial Assessment Teams, moving into the Family Help Model

The Role:
Qualified social workers, various locations in Worcestershire
Full time post of 37 hours per week.
Families First team are seeking exceptional candidates who are focussed on facilitating positive outcomes for our children and young people within Worcestershire.
Worcestershire are embarking on our journey through the social care reforms to develop the Families First team. You will be part of a friendly, innovative multi-disciplinary team with the key priority of building on existing strengths within the family in order to manage times of crisis or emerging challenges. You will assess the needs of the children and families, identify and manage risk and help develop a plan to increase safety and meet needs.
Within your role you will work directly with children and their families within their own homes and carry out direct work with children in other environments such as schools. A key attribute is the ability to build a positive working relationship with our children and families in order for their plan of support to progress. You will be expected to liaise with our internal and external partners who are integral to plans in place.
In order to support you to do the best job possible you will be directly managed and supervised by leaders who are passionate about achieving the best outcomes for children. In terms of the disciplines, you will be working alongside Outreach Workers, Money Mentor, Family Support Worker, Youth Mentor, Substance Misuse, Emotional Health/Wellbeing Workers, Family Decision Coordinators and Advanced Social Work Practitioners.

These are permanent posts. All roles will have a base within their patch, county-wide travel may be required on occasion.
