Job Title: Senior Best Interest Assessor 
Salary: £41,511 - £44,711 per annum 
37 Hours per Week
Location: Assessments undertaken across the county. Main base: Wildwood, Worcester

Are you a qualified Best Interest Assessor with at least two years post qualification experience in your field? Do you have considerable experience of completing health/social care assessments, knowledge of the care planning process and significant experience of working with adults without capacity to make decisions? If so, then we have an exciting opportunity to work as a Senior Best Interest Assessor in the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) team at Worcestershire County Council based at Wildwood, Worcester.

As a Senior Best Interest Assessor you will be undertaking Best Interest Assessments in accordance with regulations, current legislation and the DOLS Code of Practice. In addition, as required you will undertake developmental work which will include updating processes and procedures in line with case law and you will provide support to both Best Interest Assessors (BIA) and Social Work Teams in relation to the application of the Mental Capacity Act.

Disclosure Barring Service (DBS)
This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
