The Role: 

The Public Rights of Way Operations Team is seeking an enthusiastic professional to contribute to the management of our Public Rights of Way network. 

This is an interesting and varied post in which, working closely with and mentoring others, you will be responsible for ensuring the public rights of way network are properly maintained and leading on capital works such as bridges and surfacing. This is a senior role in the team and you will be expected to deal with some challenging but interesting cases. No two days are the same. 

You will carry out inspections of public rights of way, often in response to problems reported by the public, and draw up schedules of work to be carried out by contractors. You will be responsible for instructing and checking work carried out by contractors and landowners. You will also line mange a network network of voluntary path wardens. 

As well as a very good understanding of Public Rights of Way the post requires you have the ability to effectively manage a very busy workload, work to strict deadlines, and have very good communication skills.

Hybrid and mobile working arrangements. Based in Worcester but regular travel throughout the County is required.
