The Role/s
Case management and Duty Worker

Wychavon Area Social Work team is looking for experienced social workers to join the Team. If you are passionate about social work and want to join a dedicated and very supportive team delivering Adult Social Care then we would like to hear from you. The Wychavon Area covers Droitwich, Pershore, Evesham and surrounding areas. It is a beautiful location to work within and the work is both varied and interesting.

In Worcestershire we have adopted the 3 Conversation model of practice which involves a strength-based approach to working with people. You will manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision and have the ability to approve and purchase support packages to enable people to make positive changes in their life

While seeking workers to undertake case management, we are also looking for an individual who might wish to specialise in shorter term Duty work. For these roles, you will need to have the confidence to advocate for our clients and work in partnership with health colleagues, other statutory partners, and voluntary sector providers. You are given opportunities and supported to be creative, innovative and search for strength-based solutions.

We are a very supportive and friendly team. We promote a positive team culture and learning environment which includes regular reflective practice and catch-up sessions. The Duty role would be office based and the case management role will include both office and home-based working.

You will be offered on-going training, and professional development opportunities, monthly supervision, and a warm, supportive working environment where we value your contribution, and team members value and support each other.

Quotes from the Team:
“The Wychavon Area team is a very supportive and welcoming place to be. I have worked for the team for 5 years and I still enjoy my job. Management are fantastic and our colleagues are great to work with.  Everyone in the team encourages you to grow and improve – there is always someone around to help you if you need it.”

“WCC has enabled me as a practitioner to use my professional judgement, creativity and autonomous decision making where appropriate. I receive an appropriate balance of professional support and reflective challenge (e.g. through supervision) to keep learning and developing my practice
