This post is a great opportunity to join an exciting and innovative legal team as a solicitor or barrister who wishes to develop their legal career and expertise.

We are a busy, friendly, well supported legal team serving Worcestershire County in a beautiful and conveniently situated location in Worcester.   We provide a high quality and well-regarded service to our users and now need to recruit two Adult Social Care and Education Solicitors or Barristers.

We are looking for Solicitors or Barristers with experience of adult social care law which will be the main focus of the role, however, experience or a willingness to develop expertise in education law including SEN would be an advantage.  We will consider people new to these areas of work, particularly with litigation experience as this can be transferrable.  You will be responsible for advising on all aspects of adult Social Services law to include representing the Council in the Court of Protection and County Court. A flair for advocacy is therefore desirable.

We are looking for solicitors or barristers, with relevant experience in local government. However, the job will also be suitable for a newly qualified or soon to be qualified solicitor or barrister.

You will be joining a very experienced team supported by an experienced Principal Solicitor and assisted by support staff to ensure you’re able to do your job to the best of your abilities. These key features allow both professional development and a positive work life balance with a hybrid working pattern involving 1 day in the office with full wrap around technological support.

We also offer a generous benefits package, which includes a flexi-time scheme, options for flexible working such as a nine-day fortnight, career average pension, as well as an edge-of-city location, very close to the M5.

If you wish to discuss the position in more detail, then please contact Catherine Hitchman, Principal Solicitor on 01905 846486
