Solicitor - Debt Recovery, Civil Litigation and Enforcement
35 hours per week
£44,631 to £47,552 plus a Market Forces Supplement of £8,000
This post is a great opportunity to join an exciting and innovative legal team as a solicitor or barrister who wishes to develop their legal career and expertise.
We are a busy, friendly, well supported legal team serving Worcestershire County in a beautiful and conveniently situated location in Worcester. We provide a high quality and well-regarded service to our users and now need to recruit a Debt Recovery, Civil Litigation and Enforcement Solicitor or Barrister in our Adults, Education and Debt Recovery Team.
We are looking for a Solicitor or Barrister with relevant experience of Debt Recovery, Civil Litigation, and enforcement proceedings. However, the job will also be suitable for a newly qualified or soon to be qualified solicitor or barrister. You will advise the Centralised Debt Recovery Team on a number of related matters across all Directorates of the Council, with a particular emphasis on the recovery of adult social care debt.
Advocacy is an essential part of the job, and you will appear in the Small Claims and County Court on a regular basis. Are you an excellent communicator, able to meet tight deadlines and with good analytical skills? If so, we would like to hear from you.
You will be joining a very experienced team supported by an experienced Principal Solicitor and assisted by support staff to ensure you are able to do your job to the best of your abilities. These key features allow both professional development and a positive work life balance with a hybrid working pattern involving 1 day in the office with full wrap around technological support.
