Job Title: Specialist Teaching Assistant for Deaf Children and Young People

- 1 x 7 hours: £4291 to £5042 per annum + £242 SEN
- 1 x 10 hours: £6130 to £7202 per annum + £346 SEN
- 1 x 22 hours: £13,067 to £15,353 per annum + £762 SEN
- 2 x 25 hours: £14,849 to £17,447 per annum + £865 SEN

The Role:
We are a highly regarded, friendly team supporting learners with a sensory loss in mainstream settings across the county. This is an opportunity to join us as a Specialist Teaching Assistant working one to one with a deaf child or young person in a range of settings across the county of Worcestershire. You will be working with Qualified Teachers of the Deaf/ Multisensory Impairment, an Educational Audiologist, and Specialist Practitioners.

- Worcester High School - 1 x 25 hours
- Tenbury Early Years Setting - 1 x 7 hours
- Worcester Primary School - 1 x 25 hours
- Worcester Early Years Setting - 1 x 22 hours
- Worcester High School - 1 x 10 hours
We are seeking to appoint a committed, experienced and highly motivated Specialist Teaching Assistant with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to support deaf students including those with complex needs, as necessary. Confidence to advocate for the needs of the deaf pupil and the ability to travel across the county is essential. You will have experience of working with children/ young people, deafness, meeting targeted outcomes and a BSL level 2 qualification or working towards one. For the Worcester Early Years role, BSL is not essential but a willingness to learn is. All necessary training will be provided and you will have access to a range of CPD within the team.
