Job Title: Sustainability Programme Manager
Salary: PO4 - £48,682 - £52,387 per annum
35 Hours per Week

The Role:
An exciting and varied role within the County Council, with the ability to direct and develop a programme of sustainability projects in accordance with the authority’s Corporate Strategy, Environment Improvement Plan, Net Zero Plan, Fuel Poverty Programme working with Public Health and Worcestershire’s Energy Strategy. The role will involve managing a small focused team to achieve a number of contracts, which enable you to have an impact on the wider strategic approach and the communities in Worcestershire.
Working across appropriate stakeholders through the life of the programmes ranging from internal colleagues, private sector, District Councils, community groups, regional bodies, politicians and national government. You will need to be able to bid for external resources and manage complex project budgets. Operating within established governance arrangements to ensure key information is presented in a timely manner, to gain decisions from the appropriate body.
A proven experienced programme manager, you know the value of well administered programmes and the personal difference you can make. You will have a passion for sustainability with the experience of delivering sustainability programmes against a strategy within complex organisations.
You will be asked to represent the authority on sustainability issues at local and regional level to influence opportunities, strategies, policies, funding, in ways that best serve the needs the residents and businesses of Worcestershire. Therefore, essential that you keep abreast of legislation, national and regional policy and best practice relating to climate change and sustainability in order to be creative and innovative in the role.
