Come and train as a field archaeologist with our innovative and friendly commercial archaeology team

Worcestershire Archaeology (www.explorethepast.co.uk) is looking for a Trainee Archaeologist to join our commercial field team on our 9 month training programme. This programme has been highly commended by the Archaeology Training Forum and is fully accredited by CIfA. It includes completing an NVQ (Level 3) in Archaeological Practice. Providing a broader training platform than many other schemes, when completed it automatically entitles you to PCIfA status opening the way to a career in archaeology.

Your training will largely be site-based, working within a team with a proven track record of delivering high quality fieldwork to our commercial clients for over 40 years. You will learn and develop your skills alongside our highly experienced staff working across the West Midlands and beyond on a wide range of projects

Trainee posts will be offered for 9 months and on completion, if our commercial workload allows we would seek to continue your employment with us as a qualified Archaeologist (as has been the case for all trainees completing our training programme since 2015).

We are based at The Hive, in the centre of Worcester (www.thehiveworcester.org), an award winning building providing a unique combination of library, archive and archaeological services under one roof.
