Wrap Around Care Manager

Location: Malvern Wells CE Primary School
Hours:          17 ½ hours per week – 1 hour every morning and 2 ½ hours each afternoon                                                                         (initially term time only - Monday to Friday with potential to develop and deliver Holiday Club )
Contract:      Permanent
Grade:          TA4 (Scale 6 – Scp19)

Salary:         £13,459  per annum
Start Date:    a.s.a.p.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and caring Wrap Around Care Manager to lead our before- and after-school provision.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming and engaging environment where children can relax, play and have fun outside of the school day.

As Wrap Around Care Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the provision, leading and supporting the wrap around care team and ensuring that children receive high-quality care at all times.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Lead the day-to-day running of our breakfast and/or after-school club.
• Create a warm, safe and inclusive environment for all children.
• Plan and organise a varied programme of age-appropriate activities and play opportunities.
• Lead, support and organise wrap around care staff.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and effective deployment of the team.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, behaviour and wellbeing.
• Manage registers, bookings and other relevant records and administration.
• Support the preparation and serving of appropriate snacks and refreshments.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers, school staff and other professionals.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed consistently.
• Help develop and improve the wrap around care provision in response to the needs of children and families.

Previous experience of working with children in a school, childcare, playwork or wrap around care setting is essential. Experience of supervising or leading a team would also be an advantage.
