Woodrow First School is seeking to appoint an outstanding and experienced Early Years teacher to join our senior leadership team with responsibility for leading and developing our Early Years provision and taking on the role of Nursery SENCO.

This is an excellent opportunity to join Woodrow First school, a unique and forward-thinking school, with a clear vision to inspire and support all members of our community.

This exciting role involves leading the development of our EYFS provision and in particular shaping the strategic expansion of the school Nursery.  We are looking to appoint a candidate who:

  • Is an outstanding EYFS practitioner with a strong record of impact
  • Has experience of leadership within Early Years
  • Can lead, inspire and develop a team of staff with high expectations of behaviour and achievement for all children – across the whole EYFS age range
  • Is committed to working in partnership with parents and carers
  • Will make a positive contribution to the wider school community
  • Has a strong knowledge of Early Years inclusive practise 

To join our team, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Significant QTS post qualification experience of delivering the EYFS within 0-5 age range
  • Experience in an Early Years leadership role  
  • Experience of working in an inclusive environment
  • Proven experience of supporting children with additional learning needs
  • A positive creative approach to managing change
  • To be committed to a child-led curriculum and excited by this way of learning
  • To take on responsibility for the assessment and monitoring of children’s progress across the whole Early Years age range
