The Role: Learning and Teaching Adviser – Early Years Champion with phonics specialism
Soulbury pay scale - Adviser points 7 to 10 (plus up to 3 SPA points 11, 12, 13) TTO
Salary: £34,587 – £37,617 per annum (FTE: £43,233 - £47,022)
Temporary Position 4 days a week - 2 Year contract
We are seeking to appoint Learning and Teaching Adviser who has specialist skills and knowledge in early years practice and phonics. Some experience of transition in to Year 1 would also be beneficial. Prospective candidates will be experienced, skilled and committed to school effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a well developed understanding of barriers to learning for children from disadvantaged backgrounds The role will include supporting the delivery of the Best Start in Life project as well as supporting schools with improving provision, environment design and curriculum. The role also includes designing and delivering CPD and briefing sessions on the latest EYFS developments. The role could be 1 person or split across 2 individuals depending on their strengths. A secondment arrangement for the right candidate could also be considered. Individuals will have the ability to develop and deliver highly effective support to a range of education settings in order achieve better outcomes for children and young people within Worcestershire, as described in our Education and Skills Strategy.
In this exciting role you will have the opportunity to forge effective working relationships with the School Improvement Team, school leaders and teachers. As a Learning and Teaching Adviser you will be providing advice, coaching support and CPD on all aspects of effective quality first teaching in EYFS and phonics. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference, fulfilling our mission and vision and particularly championing the value of ‘good education for all children’.
