SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Required for immediate start

Actual Salary: £16,876 per annum, FTE £26,427
We have a vacancy to appoint a caring, reliable and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join our friendly staff team at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School.
The hours of work are:
Part-time 5.5hrs per day, Mon - Fri, Term Time Only, Fixed Term Contract
This role is linked to the EHCP funding of a specific child and therefore if the child leaves the school the school will lose the funding for this role
9am – 3pm, Monday – Friday (0.5hr unpaid lunch break)
The successful candidate will provide provide highly tailored 1:1 support for a named primary pupil with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), ensuring they can safely and fully access the curriculum, achieve targeted learning milestones, and build independent social and life skills within an inclusive mainstream environment. The post-holder will work closely under the guidance of the Class Teacher and SENCO to deliver strategies outlined within the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) or individual learning framework. This post will include a lunchtime duty supporting the pupil to play safely and integrate in school life.
