Job Introduction

Job Title: Qualified Social Worker 
Salary: £32,654 - £40,476 per annum plus a £3K market forces payment

37 Hours per Week
Location: Bromsgrove 

Team: Bromsgrove Area Team (Adults)

The Role: Qualified Social worker 

This is an opportunity for a qualified Social Worker to work with people in a person centred way enabling them to be supported in their local community. You will work with people within the Bromsgrove Area to remain in their own homes and maintain their independence.  You will complete assessments and reviews under the Care Act 2014. 

You will complete Mental Capacity assessment and Best Interests Decisions in line with The Mental Capacity Act 2005.

You will complete safeguarding enquiries in partnership with the WCC Safeguarding team in line with The Care Act 2014

We work in partnership with health, housing, police and other community related organisations within the Bromsgrove Area to support the people we work with in the Bromsgrove area.  

You will work within a diverse and experienced Social Work Team. We are a supportive and friendly team. The team has a mixture of Social Workers and Social Care Workers with a range of skills and talents. 

 We are a learning and teaching team.  We often have students working within the team completing their placements. The Bromsgrove Area Team has monthly reflective sessions where we have speakers and discuss topics relevant to the job or of interest in the work we do

There are weekly huddles where the team discuss cases and support each other in finding solutions and/or information to enable them to offer the support people need.

We do encourage both the Social Workers and Social Care Workers to develop areas of interest or expertise that interest them. This may be looking at being a Champion for areas such as Direct Payments or becoming a Practice Educator.
