CLASS TEACHER JOB DESCRIPTION AND PERSON SPECIFICATION
Role Purpose
To deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that inspire, challenge, and support pupils in achieving their full potential across the primary curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and Teaching: Design and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners, following the national curriculum.
Assessment and Progress: Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing timely feedback and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
Classroom Management: Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that promotes respect, curiosity, and independence.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of pupil achievement, behaviour, and attendance.
Parent and Community Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents/carers and contribute to the wider school community.
Professional Development: Participate in training, staff meetings, and school initiatives to continuously improve practice.
Safeguarding: Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the welfare of all pupils.
